Fabulous Flea market Finds
My husband and I made our monthly trek to the flea market this past weekend. While he immediately gravitates towards the sports memorabilia, I try to find a little more one-of-a-kind things. I don’t know how great our flea market is, but if you have a keen eye, you can weed through the junk to find some treasures. Although you know what they say…one woman’s junk is another woman’s treasure. But I think I found a few this time.
This beutiful cermaic piece I call Luigi. He’s going to make a great pin cushion project. While I have a long list of projects in mind, when I get him all done I’ll post a finished picture and maybe even a little tutorial on how to do your own. So go to your flea market and find a ceramic piece with a hole in it somewhere (A hole that’s supposed to be there, not an accidental one), and stay tuned for instructions on how to create a one-of-a-kind pin cushion. Although I don’t anticipate it’s going to be that hard, so if you do it first, send me a picture link, I’d love to see it.
This beautiful swan is also going to be a larger pin cushion. SO excited!
This amazing blue glass vase i call my flea market find of the week. It’s gorgeous, and it was only $7.50, can you believe it? I’m not sure exactly what I’ll use it for but for now…
It’s holding these beautiful fat quarters.
Last but not least, I found this beautiful wooden box that just happened to be the perfect size to hold fat quarters! I got two of them. The only problem is that they seem to have been sitting in dirt for a very long time and are very hard to get clean. One of them has a very odd smell. But a great find just the same. I’ll get them cleaned up somehow. Hmmm…those fat quarters look familiar…

Those boxes look like the side drawers from a treadle machine table… they are usually in twos… nice find..
