I’ve got a brand new ironing board cover. Not exciting, I know. But it’s a little project I’ve been meaning to do for weeks. Today I finally got to mark it off my list. And it really was actually written on my to-do list. Right between “laundry” and “mail m-i-l’s mother’s day gift”. (And the gift did get mailed on time, don’t worry). For weeks it’s been staring up at me from the list, but no more. And I’m so glad I got to it, because I LOVE the results. I combined Lisa’s tutorial, as well as Marmadaisy’s, and used a little of my own troubleshooting. It was super easy, and it brightens up my whole sewing room. A great quick way to update your workspace.
Look how yucky and stained it was before. So gross. And, heeeeeeere’s the beautiful sunny new one.

I recovered my ironing board a while ago and agree that it totally brightens and prettifies (is that a word, lol!) my sewing room. I love the bright colors you choose. Great job!

What fantastic fabric. Did you make the crazy patchwork or did it come like that? Wow, I would not mind ironing if I had that fabric to look at!
