Tonight we went to the Family Fun Festival that our church was putting on.  They went all out with a carnival event.  Ferris wheels, tilt-a-whirls, funnel cakes, and the whole bit.  We went on a hay ride, and there were pony rides for the kids.  And the best fair food around.  Fair food and ballpark food [...]

I want to give a big thank-you shout out to Mary at Desperate Quilters in Fort Worth, TX.  She searched her back room to find me some fabric that everyone else in the world is sold out of.  I really did squeal out loud and jump up and down when she called me to say [...]

Breakfast for Dinner

Last night we had breakfast for dinner.  I think everyone should have that every now and then.  It was quite good.  I made a really easy casserole that’s got sausage, crescent rolls, mozzarella cheese, eggs, and milk.  And I had mine with my absolute favorite fruit in the whole world…peaches.  I could eat 10 peaches [...]

So I’m going to do this same pattern in green, weave a thin [...]

Friday evening, my husband and I went to our local Corn Maize.  If you’ve never been to one, they cut a maze through a corn field, and let you loose to find your way out.  We got through in 45 minutes.  I have no idea if that’s a good time or not, but I think [...]

So the closer we get to the end of the year, it seems my crafting to-do list gets longer.  Maybe it’s that all along I’ve given myself an end of the year deadline for all the projects that I’ve been procrastinating on, so it’s just that everything has snuck up on me.  I want to [...]

Fall is officially here, and while it’s not very cool yet, it makes me look forward to being able to pull out the sweaters and jackets..hopefully sooner rather than later.  At the same Farmer’s Market, besides all the beautifully colored veggies, we found some great fall produce that really gets you in the mood for [...]
