A couple weeks ago, we had a baby shower for my SIL. And not a moment too soon because she delivered 2 days after the shower, about 3 weeks early. Mom and baby are great!! Here’s the diaper cake we made, and the baby monkey Lady_Belle made.
This was the great diaper bag that Cathy made for her. When I previously talked about the box of goodies she sent me, I couldn’t show you yet. Isn’t it great! She did such a good job, and it was a hit.

We must be kindred spirits who just haven’t met yet. One of my all-time favorite pics I took this past spring was of the purple tree in my front yard. The pic looks very similar, even in cropping, to the one you have at the top of your blog. Love it! So glad to “know” someone else who enjoys beauty like that too! I will have to dig into the pic cds and find mine! I used to have it on my fav pic album on Facebook but no longer have my Facebook account.
The disposable diaper cake is great. I think I have only seen them with the cloth diapers in the past. Your mom’s sock monkeys are adorable. I always thought they were kind of creepy when they were made with the brown socks and the big red mouth. These are in the cute and cuddly department though.
I am happy to hear that the baby party went well and that your SIL and your new nephew are doing fine. It looks like you threw a fine bash in her honor.
