I’ve been seeing this book around many different blogs lately. It’s supposedly all the rage, and for good reason. Look at some of the adorable projects inside…
The problem, as you might have guessed, is that the entire book is written in Japanese. Which I don’t read. That’s why I’ve named it the Idea Book, because I won’t be following any written instructions inside. If this is some other language rather than Japanese, my apologies. As I was seeing the pictures of this book all over other blogs, they kept talking about how hard it was to find. I took that as a bit of a personal challenge, and this one arrived at my door last week. An early birthday present to myself.
I flipped through the book a couple of times just amazed at how much goodness was inside, until I noticed this picture…
How funny! Do you notice it? It took me a couple of times of seeing it before I noticed too. Look closer…
In a book that is entirely written in Japanese, the props are English. This mug says, “Central Ohio Council Boy Scout Reservation. Camp Lazarus, Delaware, Ohio” I’m sure there’s some kind of good reason or explanation behind it. It just really caught my funny bone that day.
