Thank you to those that told me which layout you liked the best for my ‘going downhill quickly’ Hideaway quilt. 4/5 people voted for the layout my husband came up with. Thanks. There will be no living with him now.
I tried one more way. It’s his idea, only on point. This caused me to have to break up a few of the blocks. I went ahead and cut some setting triangles and borders to put with it. This is my only choice for settings/borders, because it’s the only print I had enough yardage for. I absolutely love the border fabric. Still don’t love the whole thing together. But still pressing on. And no, I didn’t press my fabric before I cut the borders. I’ve slapped my hand for you already.
I’ve found it to be really helpful to post picks online, and then re-look at them. I get a whole different perspective on what it looks like, other than when I’m standing 5 foot 6 inches above it on the ground.
So what do you think? You can still say any of the ones from the last post are better…

Maybe it’s because I’m seeing it with the setting triangles and borders (which I LOVE), but I like this option a lot. I think any version will look great, but I think I prefer anything on point to anything not with these blocks.
This looks good to me.
Will there be a border, say, in the solid(?) green? My eye is draw to the solid green in the lower right corner. Kind of a ‘rest area’. I do like this a lot, though. Doreen
I like this! I love blocks set on point. The thin yellow border looks good. What about a thinner border of the green print? Looks a little too wide to me. I think it would look great if it were maybe 2 or 3 inches.
I really like this option – on point is a good idea! I also like that lovely red – what would the red look like as the thin border? Just a thought. Well done on your lovely quilt. Natalie
Looks great to me.
