Friday evening, my husband and I went to our local Corn Maize. If you’ve never been to one, they cut a maze through a corn field, and let you loose to find your way out. We got through in 45 minutes. I have no idea if that’s a good time or not, but I think we walked several miles in that time. To help you out, they post multiple choice questions throughout the maze, and next to the answers it says turn right or turn left. But the questions were so obscure I’m sure we didn’t get too many right.
But it was such a beautiful day and I’m glad we took advantage of it. We’ve had about 3 weeks of gorgeous days all in a row. I’ve tried to be out and about in it as much as possible to enjoy it. It’s supposed to start raining tomorrow and rain for awhile, so we may have seen the last of the perfect fall days.
After the corn maze, we came home and cooked steaks and potato casserole…yummmmm. Then we had baked apples for dessert.
This is before they went in the oven. There’s walnuts, currants, a cinnamon stick, apple cider, lemon juice, brown sugar and butter all in there. I’d never made this recipe before but it was delicious. And this is the way to eat them…
